For many years quality carpentry has been a part of our family. Alex's Grandfather, Leroy, was a carpenter for most of his life. He enjoyed building his home and homes for many other people. He was always working on projects around his house, around the houses of his family, and also his friends!
When his grandsons were born, Leroy was quick to teach them the trade, and they were eager to learn. For many years, Leroy worked to train his grandsons to master the skill of being an amazing carpenter... and he did!
Thus, with the help and guidance of their grandfather, White Pine Construction was started in 2006 by two brothers who developed a love for the trade. Alex (who now owns the family business) and his older brother Dustin.
Dustin's dream was always to have his own construction business; Dustin and Alex shared a love of being able to construct buildings from what was to everyone else just a pile of wood. The two worked hard at creating a business together based on what they both loved to do, and eventually built it into a name that was trusted by their customers everywhere in Minnesota. With a little hard work and sweat, they succeeded!
In 2009 Dustin unexpectedly passed away.
It was a sad time for our family, and he is dearly missed every day. Keeping White Pine Construction going is our way of keeping Dustin's dream alive. He put his whole heart into whatever he did, always keeping a smiling face. We follow that example by putting the same heart into the work we do as we carry on his business. We enjoy what we do and will always put our best into what Dustin started here at White Pine Construction.
As Husband and wife, Alex and I (Markaye) are continuing the family business. We are currently expanding our business to Illinois! We enjoy living each day to the full, growing our small business, and taking on each adventure life throws at us.
Enough about us, we can't wait to hear about you! Give us a call for any contracting work you might need done for your house! We look forward to meeting you!
